Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Fanatics

Tonight November 23rd at 5:30 est the Cincinnati Bearcats will play the 24th ranked Vanderbilt Commodores in the Maui Invitational. This looks to be a good indicator of where the Bearcats are in terms of readiness for the Big East .

Other games being played tonight in the Maui Invitational are Arizona v Wisconsin and #21 Maryland v Chaminade and Battle of unbeatens Colorado v Gonzaga in the midnight game .

The game Wednsday night between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Toledo Rockets was very entertaining . Toledo stayed close for most of the game by hitting 15 of 25 from beyond the arc and over 50% for the game from the field .

The Bearcats were led by Rashad Bishop who had the game of his career so far with 20 pts 8 rebs and 5 ast followed by the much heralded Frosh Lance Stephenson with 16 pts then Yancy Gates had his usual solid game with 14 pts 3 reb and 4 asts . Thank God it's basketball season again , hopefully the Bearcats are better this year .

Our Cincinnati Bearcats started off a little bit shaky last night having to play catch up with Prairie View last night . Down 38-30 at the half the Bearcats fought their way back outscoring their opponents 39-24 in the 2nd half . Not since I went to college at UC have these two teams met.  These are my favorite teams.  I was doing "color" for Men's Basketball for the school radio station WFIB when we won 10 of our last 12 but still did not get to the NCAA Tournament.  Anyway that Summer Vandy met or it may have been the year before to be quite honest Cincy in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl Basketball Tournament in Dec.  I was rooting for Cincy and Dad for Vandy. It wasw crazy because Dad went to Cincy and Mom to Vandy.  I had double loyalties as well but Vandy didn't recruit me so I went to Cincy.  Anyway this basketball matchup is going to be great.
